This song was written by Charles Aznavour and released in September 1964 with French lyrics with title Hier Encore. It was subsequently released in English as Yesterday, When I Was Young with lyrics written by Herbert Kretzmer. It is considered one of Aznavour’s greatest hits, later performed and recorded by many famous singers.
This backing track is in slow tempo pop ballad style. In download files we provide backing track in two versions, for male singers – in key of Cm, and for female singers in key of Am.
