The Windmills of Your Mind is a song composed by French composer Michel Legrand with English lyrics written by Alan and Marilyn Bergman. French lyrics, under the title Les Moulins de mon cœur, were written by Eddy Marnay. It was originally recorded for the film The Thomas Crown Affair by the English actor Noel Harrison in 1968.
This backing track is in combination of a ballad style in first verse and medium tempo bossanova style for the rest of the song, something like Dusty Springfield cover, key of Cm for female singers like the original Dusty’s recording, and for male singers in key of Em.
