Without You is a song written by Pete Ham and Tom Evans of Welsh rock group Badfinger, and first released on their 1970 album No Dice. This original version went largely unnoticed, but in 1971 Harry Nilsson recorded his cover of the song, which showed the true potential of this exceptional ballad. In 1994, Mariah Carey once again affirmed the quality of this song with her exceptional interpretation. Thus, the song became an international hit, one of the most famous pop-rock ballads, recorded in about 200 cover versions by famous singers from around the world.
